Michael E. Silverman, MD, FACC

Dr. Michael Silverman joined Cardiovascular Specialists in 1994 following the completion of his cardiology fellowship.  He is Board-Certified in cardiovascular disease and has special interests in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.  Under his direction, our echocardiography program achieved accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL).  He is presently Medical Director of the practice's nuclear medicine department, which is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Laboratories (ICANL).

A member of the Active physician admitting staff at Howard County General Hospital (HCGH), he is the immediate past president of the HCGH Professional Staff.  He currently serves as Chief of the Department of Medicine at HCGH.  A Baltimore native who now resides in Ellicott City with his wife and two teenage daughters, Dr. Silverman's personal interests include biking and triathlons.
