Dr. Jerome Hantman has the distinction of being the first cardiologist on the staff of Howard County General Hospital (HCGH), as well as being the founding partner (in 1975) of what is now Cardiovascular Specialists of Central Maryland, P.A.

A dedicated, Board-Certified clinical cardiologist with a large and loyal patient following, Dr. Hantman has been very active on the professional staff and Board of HCGH, where his many appointments include his current role as Chief of the Section of Cardiology.  Previous HCGH positions include Director of Utilization Management, Director of the Coronary Care Unit, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and President of the Professional Staff, among others.  He also serves as Director of Cardiology at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland.

Along with his many credentials and activities on behalf of the specialty of cardiovascular disease, Dr. Hantman holds a Master of Medical Management (MMM) degree from Carnegie-Mellon University, and holds FACC (Fellow of the American College of Cardiology) and FACP (Fellow of the American College of Physicians) designations. 

A New Jersey native, his personal interests include woodworking, travel, and adding to his VERY extensive collection of doctor figurines.
